New York Outrigger is Manhattan Island's first outrigger canoe club. We are a volunteer-driven, non-profit educational organization committed to providing the safe environment, instruction, equipment, and camaraderie needed to enjoy the sport of outrigger canoeing.

Kokua

“Kokua” is the Hawaiian word for “help”. Your support will help NYO, a volunteer-driven, non-profit educational organization, in its commitment to provide the safe environment, instruction, equipment and camaraderie needed to enjoy the sport of outrigger canoeing for New Yorkers young and old.

Since 1996, the Chelsea-based operation has helped educate thousands of New Yorkers to be safe, confident paddlers and reached millions of others through high profile media coverage. New York Outrigger continues its community mission of providing affordable recreational and cultural opportunities through the sport of outrigger canoeing.

Liberty World Outrigger Competition Sponsorship

Opportunities are now available to become part of the next leg of this incredible journey.

Sponsorship and Strategic Partnerships provide an opportunity for companies and individuals to align themselves with a sport that brings individuals of many ages, backgrounds and origins together in ways that form lifetime bonds, fostering a culture of perpetuation and growth.

Initial exposure will be primarily through print media and other local exposure including videography and other forms of documentation that can capture the essence of the achievement.
