The teams of the 2010 Liberty World Outrigger Competition represent some of the most accomplished clubs from across the globe. Men and women from many diverse backgrounds will meet in New York City on Saturday, July 31, 2010 to share one common goal: to be the fastest outrigger crew to paddle around the Statue of Liberty.
Akau Hana Outrigger Canoe Club
Akau Hana Outrigger is located at the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor in the coastal
city of Santa Cruz, CA. We paddle in the ocean in the Monterey Bay Sanctuary
among sea lions, otters & dolphins. We feel very blessed to have such a
beautiful place to paddle and enjoy the wide variety of ocean
conditions...from calm lake like to knarly wind & large swells....What fun!
Our club belongs to NCOCA, Northern California Outrigger Canoe Assn. We
participate in many races from the Alcatraz Race Around the Rock, Catalina
Crossing & Molokai Hoe.
Boston Outrigger Racing Association
Boston Outrigger is home to men and women of diverse age and cultures, dedicated to family and the aloha spirit, whom all love being on the water. We are located at Waikiki Beach, Salem, MA on the north shore of greater Boston.
Cayuga Outrigger Canoe Club
Cayuga Outrigger Canoe Club was formed in August 2008 to bring the sport of outrigger canoe paddling to the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Manu'iwa Outrigger Canoe Club
Manu'iwa's philosophy focuses on perpetuating the Hawaiian culture and spirit through outrigger canoeing. We work hard to combine an appreciation for family, nature, community, and competitiveness while having lots of fun. While we focus a large part of our efforts in competing in an east coast point-series, we welcome all paddlers.
National Capital Area Outrigger Canoe Team
National Capital Area (NCA) Outrigger traces its roots back into the mid-nineties, bringing the traditional Hawaiian sport to a the DC metro area. NCA Outrigger now has established men's, women's, and co-ed teams and looks to develop youth teams sometime in the near future.
New York Outrigger
New York Outrigger has helped educate thousands of New Yorkers to be safe and confident paddlers while reaching millions of others through high-profile media coverage. Based in Chelsea since 1996, New York Outrigger continues its community mission of providing affordable recreational and cultural opportunities in New York’s waterways through the sport of outrigger canoeing. We offer excitement and esprit de corps while always being safety conscious.
Oceanside Outrigger Canoe Club
OOCC was founded in 2007 by the merging of two local outrigger clubs: Makana Ke Kai Outrigger Canoe Club and Paopao Outrigger Association. Our club has the privilege of having the knowledge and experience of numerous members, both male & female, with over 10 years of paddling experience and have won State Championships. We have an outstanding race program and recreational program. We share the love of the ocean, the thrill of competition and a feeling of Ohana.

Outrigger Club United Kingdom
Outrigger Club United Kingdom (OCUK) is the United Kingdom's largest outrigger canoe club. We train from our Chiswick, London base all year long and we offer our members high-level coaching in OC6s, OC2s and OC1s. Our race season runs from April to October with a reduced Winter Training Season running from December to March.

Our club was formed in 2009. Philadelphia is known as "the cradle of liberty", and Independence Outrigger Club is happy to be able to paddle at Liberty Outrigger Competition.
Philadelphia Police Boat Teams
The Philadelphia Police Boat Team is a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded in 2000, and is committed to the promotion of physical fitness and fraternity among law enforcement, and to giving back to the community. Our Team is comprised of Philadelphia Police Officers, Special Agents of the FBI, and members of other federal, state and local law enforcement organizations. Competitive crews are fielded in Dragon Boat and Ocean Outrigger Canoe races.

Team Honolulu consists of members of Waikiki Beach Boys Canoe Club, Kamehameha Canoe Club and Healani Canoe Club.
Wai Nui O'Kanaka Outrigger Canoe Club
Our Hawaiian name translates as: Great Lakes (or Big Waters) of the people of Canada. Wai Nui Outrigger Canoe Club perpetuates and promotes the tradition and sport of competitive Hawaiian outrigger canoe racing and the aloha spirit. Wai Nui Outrigger Club is the largest outrigger club in eastern Canada, with compounds, called Hale's, in both Oakville and Mississauga; a range of single, double and six-man boats; and coaching expertise that will benefit new paddlers or athletes seeking world-class racing opportunities.
Washington Canoe Club
Since 1904, the Washington Canoe Club has continued its tradition of Olympic canoeing and kayaking at the nation’s capital. In 1999, WCC extended its competitive racing programs to include outrigger canoeing and has since then been actively participating in East Coast and Hawaii races. Our mission is to foster and promote paddlesport activities to our members and those in the DC area – whether an Olympic Gold medalist or a weekend recreational paddler.
