The teams of the 2010 Liberty World Outrigger Competition represent some of the most accomplished clubs from across the globe. Men and women from many diverse backgrounds will meet in New York City on Saturday, July 31, 2010 to share one common goal: to be the fastest outrigger crew to paddle around the Statue of Liberty.

Wai Nui Outrigger Club is the largest outrigger club in eastern Canada, with compounds, called Hale's, in both Oakville and Mississauga; a range of single, double and six-man boats; and coaching expertise that will benefit new paddlers or athletes seeking world-class racing opportunities.

Since 1904, the Washington Canoe Club has continued its tradition of Olympic canoeing and kayaking at the nation’s capital. In 1999, WCC extended its competitive racing programs to include outrigger canoeing and has since then been actively participating in East Coast and Hawaii races. Our mission is to foster and promote paddlesport activities to our members and those in the DC area – whether an Olympic Gold medalist or a weekend recreational paddler.
